Strokes

It is no secret to anyone that throughout different historical periods of human civilization, there have always been similar or conflicting ideological and social trends, to which different representatives of society react according to their personal or professional interests.

However, it should be noted that one particular fact reveals the essence of humanity regarding the personal qualities of any participant in social relations, regardless of the era or the dominant ideological paradigm.

It is not important which religion a person belongs to, nor their race, gender, education, financial well-being, or social group; while these qualities make us different from each other, the fundamentally important unifying factor is personal individuality.

It is precisely this personal element that makes us significant in our own eyes, and also introduces a constructive element into the formation of general sociocultural principles, on the basis of which we can assert the existence of evolutionary processes as such.

As part of this performative practice, I aimed to lay bare the current trends that were shaping the ideological and political agenda in so-called “democratically developed” countries. Specifically, in front of the camera lens, I slowly applied professional makeup to my face.

When the visual image was finalized into a trendy visual prototype, I erased everything I had been working on, using the white shirt on my body.

Thus, this gesture returned me to the essence of what was happening, regardless of the outer shell which we had the right to destroy, or at least deconstruct into real meanings with real content.
